Why Carl
City Council needs to be fair, honest, and for the people. I feel we need to have a person with the upmost integrity, who has proven leadership abilities with a great work ethic. For 30 years I served the citizens of Huntington as a firefighter. I retired and worked for the WV Attorney General as a Consumer Advocate. At the request of Mayor Williams returned to service as Fire Chief retiring in 2017.
Serving The Community
As Fire Chief I worked to purchase the first new fire engine for Guyandotte since the station opened 1964, and we applied for and received a federal grant to pay for it saving our city $375,000. I believe our district deserves new equipment not "hand me downs" that have been taken out of service from other city fire stations.
Our District has been long ignored far too long.

Infrastructure repair and upgrading, Security property theft investigate and arrest, Public Safety make our streets safe to walk around, Homelessness drug prevention, Unsafe Housing fight to have these unsafe unrepairable houses/buildings demolished and property repurposed through the Huntington Land Bank
